Chemical-analytical development of new active substances

The Chemistry Department is involved in projects to develop innovative active substances. These include the synthesis of reference substances and metabolites, as well as their physico-chemical characterisation and the determination of data relevant to their safety.

This diverse spectrum of responsibilities is carried out by specialists in the Synthesis, Substance Characterisation and Biopharmacy Groups.

The Synthesis Group is responsible for the supply of substance samples for pre-clinical testing and the analytical development of methods of organic chemistry and modern purification technologies.

The Substance Characterisation group is involved in the scientific description of innovative active substances focusing on identity, purity, content, and physico-chemical properties using the most modern analytical technologies.

The Biopharmacy Group is responsible for the analytical testing of biological materials as part of the toxicological examinations of innovative active substances.
